Focused Technologies

Focused Technologies have completed a TMC review and have not been designated by SDC as an ICT, but wish to continue to use SDC as a resource to advance the acceptance of the technology. Focused Technologies undergo a transformation from a proprietary to generic technology approach. Focused Technologies have support and participation from multiple SDC members. Limited SDC staff resources are dedicated to these technologies, but an infrastructure and tools within SDC are created to help the participating members to pool and coordinate their resources to address obstacles and pursue path-finding advice generated in their TMC review. Focused Technologies require a champion and are issued a 3-year term to complete their work. Terms can be renewed based on performance review conducted by TMC that focuses on need and progress accomplished.
