Local Information

Arizona is known for its perfect weather, stunning scenery and limitless adventure. Phoenix, the capital, and largest city, of the state of Arizona as well as America’s sixth-largest city is located in the northeastern reaches of the Sonoran Desert, and is surrounded by mountains, hence it’s nickname as “Valley of the Sun”. Phoenix has great dining, shopping, golf, art galleries and museums, as well as great airport accessibility, so getting there should be easy for nearly everyone.

Located two hours from the Red Rocks of Sedona and approximately 4 hours from the Grand Canyon, if outdoor adventure is what you crave, there is much to do in the surrounding areas. If your schedule permits, plan an extended stay and enjoy some of the many wonders that this state has to offer.

Weather

Phoenix has a subtropical arid climate. Typical spring weather in the Phoenix area is 84°F (29°C) high and 57°F (14°C) low. April is a wonderful time of year in Phoenix, with desert flowers in bloom and still ahead of the extremely hot desert temperatures – but bring a sweater or light jacket, as the temps at night can get on the chilly side.
