Closest Airports
Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is approximately 26 miles north of the Plaza. This is an approximately 45-minute drive from the airport to the hotel.  

Shuttle Service
Shuttle service is available at MCI and the fare to the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza
is $18 (one way, making multiple stops or $31 round-trip). Advance reservations are required for
a return trip from the hotel to the airport. For return trips it is recommended to call for a reservation the night before or a minimum of 4 hours before flight time for same-day reservations.

Shuttles depart every 30 minutes from 5:35 a.m. - 12:05 a.m.

Walk up to one of the KCI Shuttle ticket counters. These counters are conveniently located adjacent to most airline baggage claim areas and are located at:

Terminal A – Gates 1, 15, 30
Terminal B – Gates 31, 50, 60
Terminal C – Gates 61, 72, 80

If duty personnel are away from the ticket counter, use the white airport courtesy telephone located near most telephone islands throughout the airport and dial “5000”. You will be connected with a KCI Shuttle Customer Service Representative (CSR) who will provide assistance and arrange transportation to your hotel.

After you approach the KCI Shuttle ticket counter, please give the CSR your hotel destination information. They will arrange for your transportation and will direct you to the passenger-loading zone where you will be accommodated by one of their professional drivers.

At the KCI Shuttle ticket counter, please let the CSR know which hotel you are traveling to. The CSR will arrange for your driver and will direct you to the passenger loading zone.

When your assigned shuttle arrives, please reconfirm with the driver what hotel you need to be transported to.

Taxi               
Taxi service is available from MCI 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The fare from MCI to the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza is about $45 (one way), not including gratuity. Taxis at Kansas City International Airport are made available through various taxi service telephones located at the baggage claim areas in each terminal and outside terminal exits. Taxis serving the airport are required to carry passengers to any requested location, regardless of journey length. Shared rates are available upon the request of the first passenger, provided that all other passengers agree.

Limousine or Private Car

Rental Car
All of the major rental car companies are available at Kansas City International Airport. Enterprise will deliver cars to the hotel for your convenience.  

Parking
Complimentary self parking will be available for our group as part of our negotiated contract. Valet parking is available at $17/day.
