Topics of the meeting will include:

Performance Specifications for Concrete: ACI's new report on Performance Specifications for Concrete Materials, ITG-8, nears completion, and SDC members and attendees will be provided an update on ITG-8 as well as see presentations on new material technology and strategies best utilized in conjunction with Performance Specifications. Building Information Modeling (BIM): A funded research program on BIM interoperability standards is expected to be in place by this session. SDC members and attendees will develop a preliminary work plan for the BIM research programs, including identifying work underway in other parts of the construction and precast concrete industries and pursuing synergy with ACI's new Technical Committee 131: "Building Information Modeling of Concrete Structures." SDC presentations and discussions on BIM will address the more effective and widespread use of BIM.

Concrete and the Green Movement: Representatives from the legal and technical professions will provide their insight on the current regulatory and legislative actions related to concrete and the environment.

Technology Showcases: A series of Technology Showcases will highlight products/technologies with the potential to transform the market for concrete.  Presentations will include topics such as "Glass Pozzolans," "Carbon-Neutral Rice Hull Ash: A Green Supplementary Cementitious Material," "Phosphate Based Cements," "CSA Cement," and other alternatives.
